ClubDriving MENTORING PROGRAMME

At ClubDriving our driving purpose is to provide our members with varied opportunities to further their driving development.  This is no clearer than in the club's mentoring programme.

We are building a network of Mentors who have volunteered to help others members progress along the road to driving mastery.  They are all at least 'Full' members of the club, and will coach you (in your car) towards the achievement of your goals and the club's higher awards.  An up-to-date list of all club Mentors (inc. contact details) is available to members on the club's discussion forum.

This is what a couple of members have said about their experience of our mentoring programme:

"...for the excellent mentoring session which I have had with him this afternoon.  The session started with a demonstration drive...  This was impressive to say the least...  Gary provided expert advice and feedback on a few aspects of my driving, and certainly gave me some key things to a) think about, and b) some expert advice to put into practice.  I think I have just seen a ClubDriving mentoring session at its best."

"Would like to say a big thank you to Steve for a thoroughly enjoyable mentoring session today.  It was fantastic to be in the same car as somebody who really takes their driving seriously, and to observe and learn.  The demo drive by Steve....was particularly enjoyable."

As at 28th February 2008 we have 31 Mentors in: Berkshire, Bristol, Buckinghamshire, Cleveland, Derbyshire, Essex, (South) Gloucestershire, Hampshire, the Isle of Man, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, London, Merseyside, Northern Ireland, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Surrey, (East) Sussex, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Wiltshire, Worcestershire and (South and West) Yorkshire.  And our network is growing most months.

If you'd like to volunteer to become a club Mentor please drop us a line at mentoring@clubdriving.co.uk  You'll need to be entitled to at least 'full' membership of ClubDriving, and, ideally, have some coaching/training experience.  However, the club provides free Mentoring Workshops to new mentors wishing to develop their coaching skills.
